This ruling went into effect on my 15th birthday of January 22, 1973. My parents had a HUGE party that night because of it…my birthday went unnoticed and that was OK with me! My mothers sister AND best friend died from back street/self inflicted abortions and may we in the US never go back to that. Thank you everyone for your support and commitment to this cause!
I DEFINITELY do NOT want to see health care for American women go backwards, which is what will happen if Roe v Wade is struck down.
Roe Vs Wade must remain the law. There are enough unwanted children in the world and enough people struggling to keep their children fed and a roof over their heads. Women deserve a chance to choose.
I think this abortion stuff is a bunch of nonsence. Saw your 40th
anniversary ad on the Hannity show. It’s outragious. You guys
should be ashamed of yourselves. you’re so against what the bible says.
Hi. Yes. My question is this: What would the opposers of “Women’s rights to choose have us do?” A “local” Dr. gave me a specific due date. I had yet “decided” if I had a strong enough support system to have a baby that I wanted to have. It seems as if I was definately on my own. So, sadly, I decided to post-pone having a baby until I developed the ‘financial credibility” that so much of “societies values place on women’s rights. Planned Parenthood of Tennessee did not honor the specific due date that my Dr. gave as specific. They would not back down. Consequently, I was forced to have a late term abortion. Much more expensive. More complicated. That goes to show one that, although credited as professional facilities, even well-meaning Abortion Captains of Industry even botch a decision route recommendation from time to time.
